You can look at February 1989 as our own "Once upon a time." There you'd see a little Mazda pick-up truck towing a U-Haul trailer down I-75 from Michigan to Florida. Not to a job or to a house or to friends. Just to what seemed to be an open opportunity. The route would lead into the heart of Proverbs 16:9: "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."
In the years since then, Robert Stephens would research stories for the St. Petersburg Times, massage features for international magazines, and develop marketing strategies for multi-media consumer brands. During his 21-year run as executive editor for titles like Islands and Boating, he would earn 14 international awards for excellence in storytelling and branding.
But the most important prizes along this unpredictable route would be the many priceless relationships. With his wife, Lenore. With their three amazing daughters. And with friends and colleagues having the highest integrity and best talent in the media industry. Those relationships and talents have merged together for this: Creating impactful marketing tools to bring life to businesses and to build more lasting relationships ... ever after.
